esharemo
Overview
These Terms explain how hosts and guests may use esharemo.
By using the service, you agree to follow these Terms and any applicable event, privacy, consent, copyright, and platform rules.
These Terms should be reviewed before production use and may be updated as the product, legal requirements, and operating model change.
Eligibility
Users must be legally capable of agreeing to the Terms.
Hosts must have authority to create and manage an event workspace.
Guests must only use invite links or QR codes given to them by the host or authorized event organizer.
You may restrict use by minors or require parental/guardian consent depending on your target users.
Account registration
Hosts sign in using Google. Guests do not need an esharemo account.
Host responsibilities
- Provide accurate account information.
- Keep the connected Google account secure.
- Manage all activity under the host account and event workspace.
Guest access
- Use only invite links, QR codes, or invite tokens provided by the host or authorized event organizer.
- Do not share private event links with unauthorized people.
Google Drive connection
Hosts must connect Google Drive for the service to work.
esharemo requests Google Drive permission only for app-related file/folder operations.
Hosts authorize esharemo to create folders and upload files to their Google Drive.
Hosts may disconnect or revoke Google access, but doing so may affect event uploads and media access.
If Google access expires, is revoked, or fails, the host may need to reconnect.
Google requires privacy disclosures explaining what Google user data is requested, why it is requested, and how it is handled.
Event creation and management
Hosts are responsible for managing the event workspace and keeping event information accurate.
Host-managed event details
- Event name and details
- Guest list accuracy
- Invitation links and QR codes
- Guest folder naming
- Upload availability
- Invitation sent or not-sent status
- Event status
- Ensuring the event is lawful and appropriate
Guest invitations and invite links
Invite links and QR codes may give access to an event upload page.
Hosts are responsible for sending links only to intended guests.
Guests should not forward links without permission.
esharemo may expire, revoke, disable, or block invite links for security, abuse prevention, or event management reasons.
Anyone with a valid invite link may be able to access the guest upload page, depending on your implementation.
Upload rules
Users must only upload event media they have the right and consent to share.
Do not upload
- Illegal content
- Sexual or explicit content, especially involving minors
- Violent, abusive, hateful, harassing, or discriminatory content
- Malware, viruses, or harmful files
- Copyrighted content without permission
- Private or sensitive content without consent
- Content that violates another person's privacy or dignity
- Spam or irrelevant files
- Files that intentionally overload or abuse the system
User content ownership
Users keep ownership of content they upload.
By uploading, the uploader grants esharemo a limited license to process, store temporarily if needed, transfer, display, preview, and deliver the content as needed to operate the service.
The host may receive access to uploaded content for the event.
esharemo does not claim ownership over uploaded photos/videos.
Hosts right over media
The host can view and manage media uploaded to their event.
The host may download or access files stored in their connected Google Drive.
esharemo is not responsible for how the host uses media after collection.
Hosts should get proper consent before publishing, printing, editing, selling, or publicly sharing uploaded media.
Privacy and consent responsibilities
Hosts are responsible for informing guests that media may be uploaded to the host’s Google Drive.
Hosts are responsible for obtaining consent where required.
Guests should not upload media involving people who did not consent, especially in private or sensitive situations.
Users should read the Privacy Policy before using the service.
In the Philippines, the Data Privacy Act of 2012 created the National Privacy Commission and governs personal data protection; event photos/videos may involve personal information when people are identifiable.
Prohibited conduct
Users must not misuse the service or attempt to access another event's media.
Prohibited actions
- Hack, reverse engineer, overload, scrape, or abuse the service
- Bypass upload limits or security checks
- Use another person's account or invite link without permission
- Impersonate another person
- Upload malicious files
- Use esharemo for illegal events or illegal content
- Interfere with Google Drive integrations
- Attempt to access media from events they are not invited to
Service availability
esharemo may be unavailable due to maintenance, bugs, third-party outages, API issues, or hosting problems.
You may modify, pause, discontinue, or limit parts of the service.
You do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
File limits and storage limits
Upload limits may apply by file size, file type, number of files, event status, guest status, Google Drive quota, or technical limits.
esharemo may reject files that are too large, unsupported, suspicious, or harmful.
Uploads may fail if the host’s Google Drive storage is full.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access when continued access would create legal, security, abuse, or operational risk.
Reasons access may be limited
- A user violates these Terms
- Illegal or harmful content is uploaded
- System abuse is detected
- Google access is revoked or unavailable
- An event is fraudulent or abusive
- A required security action is needed
Content removal
esharemo may block, remove, disable, or report content that violates the Terms or applicable law.
Since media is stored in the host’s Google Drive, permanent deletion may require action from the host’s Google Drive account.
You may not be able to delete files that are no longer accessible to esharemo after Drive access is revoked.
Intellectual property
esharemo owns its brand, logo, website design, code, UI, text, and platform materials.
Users may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or misuse esharemo branding or software.
User-uploaded media remains owned by the uploader or rightful owner.
