Getting started
The essentials for creating an event and choosing the right guest path.
What is esharemo?
esharemo helps event hosts collect guest photos and videos through personal invite links or one shared event QR code. Uploads are organized in the host's connected Google Drive.
How does a host start an event?
Sign in with Google, connect the Drive account that should hold the media, enter the event name and date, and choose Invite Only or Open Guest access.
Which access mode should I choose?
Use Invite Only when you already know the guests and want a personal link or QR code for each one. Use Open Guest when the room should use one shared event QR code.
Where does the host manage the event?
The host can return to the event workspace to manage guests, share links, review uploads, and work with the connected Drive archive.
Guest access and uploads
What guests need to know before they scan, select, or capture media.
Do guests need an account or an app?
No. Guests upload from an invite link or QR path in a browser. They do not create an esharemo account or install an app.
How does Invite Only work for guests?
The host creates a guest record and shares that guest's personal invite link or QR code. Uploads from that path stay associated with the guest.
How does Open Guest work for guests?
Guests scan the shared event QR code, enter their name when prompted, and receive an upload path. Open Guest applies the event's per-guest upload limit.
Can guests upload photos and videos?
Yes. Guests can select supported photos or videos from their phone, and the guest upload page also supports camera capture where the browser allows it.
What should I do if an upload fails?
Use Retry for a failed item while the upload page still has its file. If the page asks for reselection after a reload, choose the same local file again. If Drive storage or access is unavailable, contact the host.
Timing, storage, and privacy
Answers about event timing, host-owned storage, privacy, and common access problems.
When can guests upload?
Guest uploads are available during the event's upload window. If the invite or QR page says uploads are closed, try again when the window is open or ask the host.
Where are the files stored?
The original photos and videos go to folders in the host's connected Google Drive. esharemo keeps the event, guest, and upload records needed to organize and review the collection.
What if Google Drive is not ready or needs to reconnect?
The host may need to finish preparing the event folder or reconnect Google Drive before uploads can continue. Guests should contact the host if the event page shows a storage message.
Can guests see everyone's uploads?
esharemo is built for collection, not a public gallery. Guests use their upload path, while the host reviews the event archive and original files.
How do I get more help?
For an event-specific access or timing question, contact the host who shared the link or QR code. For product support, use Customer Support in the footer.
Ready to collect
Give guests one clear way to share.
Set up the event, share the path, and keep the media where the host can find it afterward.
