Disclaimers

Important limits and responsibilities for hosts and guests using esharemo to collect event photos and videos.

esharemo

General service disclaimer

esharemo provides an event media collection tool and does not host events or media on its own. The service is provided as-is without warranties of any kind.

The platform helps hosts collect guest photos and videos through QR codes and magic links.

esharemo does not guarantee that every upload, file transfer, QR code, invitation link, or Google Drive sync will always work without interruption.

The service may be affected by internet connection issues, browser limitations, Google Drive API availability, device storage issues, file size limits, or third-party service downtime.

Google Drive storage disclaimer

Uploaded files are stored in the host’s connected Google Drive account.

esharemo does not own the host’s Google Drive account.

File availability depends on the host’s Google Drive account status, storage quota, permissions, Google service availability, and whether the host keeps files/folders accessible.

If the host disconnects Google Drive, revokes access, deletes folders, changes permissions, or loses Google access, media access may be affected.

esharemo uses Google APIs and must clearly explain what Google data it accesses, uses, stores, or shares; Google’s policy also requires apps to request only necessary permissions and disclose Google user data handling clearly.

Guest upload disclaimer

Guests are responsible for the photos and videos they upload.

Guests should only upload content they own or have permission to share.

Guests should not upload illegal, harmful, offensive, abusive, explicit, copyrighted, private, or non-consensual content.

Guests should not upload photos/videos of people where sharing would violate privacy, consent, or event rules.

The host is responsible for informing guests about the event’s media-sharing expectations.

Host responsibility disclaimer

The event host is responsible for managing guests, invitations, QR codes, event links, and uploaded media.

The host is responsible for obtaining any needed consent from guests or people appearing in uploaded photos/videos.

The host is responsible for how they use, share, download, publish, or delete uploaded media after collection.

esharemo is not responsible for disputes between hosts and guests about ownership, consent, publication, or use of event media.

Media ownership disclaimer

Uploading media does not transfer ownership to esharemo.

The uploader or rightful owner keeps ownership of uploaded content.

The host may receive access to uploaded media for the purpose of the event.

esharemo only processes and transfers media to support the service.

File loss and backup disclaimer

esharemo will try to process uploads reliably, but does not guarantee zero data loss.

Hosts should not treat esharemo as the only backup of important media.

Hosts should regularly check their Google Drive folders.

Guests should keep their own copies of important photos/videos.

esharemo is not liable for accidental deletion, failed uploads, corrupted files, incomplete uploads, or third-party storage issues, subject to applicable law.

Third party services disclaimer

esharemo depends on third-party services including Google Drive, Google Sign-In, hosting providers, database providers, browser APIs, and network providers.

esharemo is not responsible for outages, policy changes, rate limits, quota limits, security incidents, or service restrictions caused by third-party providers.

Using esharemo also requires hosts and guests to follow the applicable terms and policies of those third-party services.

MVP disclaimer

esharemo is still in its early stages.

Features may change, be removed, or be improved without prior notice.

Some functions may still have bugs or limitations.

Users should report issues through your support contact.

No professional advice disclaimer

esharemo does not provide legal, privacy, photography, event management, or storage compliance advice.

Hosts are responsible for complying with event rules, local laws, privacy rules, and consent requirements.
